Biscuit Street Preacher

'Access Hatch'
     September 4 - 27, 2008

The Biscuit Street Preacher a.k.a. Robbie was born and raised in the deep south. The accomplished and sought after self-taught artist now resides just outside of the Las Vegas area. He is a natural when it comes to painting his mind. Responding directly on canvas to what he is confused by , that which disturbs him, and ideals he celebrates result in a layering of marks and color that have lasting effect. The paintings have a childlike flavor with complicated undertones. There is little figurative realism, but let there be no doubt to their very real and familiar narrative voice. Powerful, soulful and dignified the paintings often have a twist of humor. Trifecta Gallery presents for the first time, The Biscuit Street Preacher’s first solo show. Step-up, and step-in the game now as we watch together, this motivated and true voice rise in the ranks from discovered, emerging and then beyond.
