An emerging but ready to 'break out' artist from Montevideo Uruguay, Leonardo Aguirre also studied architecture. That architectural  influence shows up in his composition and mark making. Clearly theatrical too, with compressed depth, colors, and oddly related items, the paintings seem like stage sets from a 'nonsense machina' dream.

Leonardo has exhibited in London,  Buenos Aries,  Verona Italy, and Bruxelles where he took grand  prize in juried exhibiition. This is Leos first time showing in the United States.
