The Cowboy and Indian series began after exhibiting in Las Vegas at the Contemporary Arts Collective's annual Summer juried exhibition entitled "Wild Wild West". I loved the reaction to this work. They are as evocative as the Appliance paintings to those who played (still play!) with these quintessential figures. "How the West Was Won", sold right away and there is a original size, limited edition Giclee on the Print page of this site. Make sure you have a look at it!

Its hard to explain this painting without mentioning the "elephant in the living room", you know, the "real" way family holidays turn out. The over-anticipation of important holidays that include multi family interaction and rarely turn out like the Rockwellian magazine covers we hope for.  Its more like the game of Cowboy and Indians  we played as children.
note to Mom:
This is not a reflection of my own experience, just what I've heard most of my life. (Honestly,  maybe once or twice I've myself caused  few doozies).
