TIM FOLZENLOGEN

read Las Vegas Weekly
review of this show here.

"...few painters - aside from Wayne Thiebaud, have fully succeeded in painting with such brio and glowing reverence. A singular exception is the young Ohio born painter Tim Folzenlogen.... Like Hopper, Folzenlogen is a true painter of the American scene, with the ability to convey a sense of the urban experience in formal rather than anecdotal, terms, establishing emotional resonance through spatial tensions and strong tonal contrasts."          - Artspeak, NY, November 16, 1989

Wayne Thiebaud came to one of  Mr. Folzenlogen's his East Village shows, which led to Tim's being represented by Thiebaud's gallery, Allan Stone. Stone purchased many of his paintings, and he became the favorite of Stone's biggest client.   -EXCERPT FROM WIKIPEDIA.ORG  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Folzenlogen
